Ladhak odyssey (A Photo Blog)

I started this trip as a pilgrimage to Amarnath and I ended up sailing on the roads of Himachal, Ladhak, and Kashmir.

My first destination- Dharamshala

The hardest part of the trip was returning back to home.

I could not make it to Amarnath because of the Kashmir crisis also missed many places had to catch a bus to Jammu which was running after 16 days.

"But once mountains are in your blood you keep going to them again and again till you die."

Vipassana - 10 days of silence

Vipassana is one of the most ancient meditation technique which was rediscovered by Gautam Buddha about 2500 years ago. Vipassana was wiped out after some years from the country and it was practiced by an unbroken chain of teachers and student in Burma(Myanmar) which was handed to Mr. S.N. Goenka who brought it back to India. I learned Vipassana from Dharamshala center http://www.sikhara.dhamma.org/. A beautiful center located in Dharamkot village(it's nothing like a village) about 2 kms from Mcleodganj near Tushita Meditation Center.
